Women in Racing Ireland (WinR) Strides Forward with New Identity and Membership Launching at Tattersalls Ireland
Women in Racing Ireland (WINR) is striding forward into an exciting new chapter, unveiling a refreshed identity and membership offering at a special “Women in Bloodstock featuring Shirley Anderson-Jolag” event during the Tattersalls Ireland National Hunt Sale on Tuesday, 11th November.
Shirley Anderson-Jolag, the world’s only female auctioneer, will share her unique journey and insights from the rostrum. The day promises to be an inspiring celebration of women shaping the future of the bloodstock and racing industries.
WINR’s Tattersalls Ireland event is free for members and €20 for non-members, offering an open invitation for all to connect, learn, and be inspired. Attendees will enjoy a series of interactive workshops throughout the day, with leading consignors generously giving their time to demonstrate what to look for when scouting for the next National Hunt star.
Adding to the excitement, WINR will officially launch its new annual membership packages, designed to strengthen the growing community of women across the racing and breeding sectors. Memberships are available at €30 for full members and €15 for students, stud and stable staff. New members can immediately avail of discounted offers with our partners Connolly’s RED MILLS online store, weatherbys and Anna Healy career coaching.
The event will also mark the launch of WINR’s new-look website, www.womeninracing.ie a refreshed digital home for resources, event updates, and community connections.
Finally, WINR will unveil details of its 2025/2026 Mentoring Programme, continuing the organisation’s commitment to supporting, developing, and empowering women at all stages of their racing careers. The WINR mentoring programme has become increasingly popular since it's inception in 2022. The programme has supported a range of individuals across the industry and we look forward to continuing that ongoing support in the upcoming offering.
“We’re incredibly proud to be marking this exciting new chapter for WINR at Tattersalls Ireland,” said Nessa Joyce, Chairperson of WINR. “Having Shirley Anderson-Jolag join us, alongside our valued consignors and industry supporters, makes this a truly special moment to celebrate progress, collaboration, and the future of women in racing.”
